Family Hike to The Glory Hole

Josh, the boys, and myself took a hike today to The Glory Hole. It is in the town of Fallsville, AR (near Pettigrew). The Glory Hole is described as a hole that has been drilled by a creek through the roof of an overhanging bluff (the hike is 2 miles roundtrip). There wasn't much water coming through it but it was neat to see, and Hudson got to throw rocks in the shallow pool of water below. Josh & I talked about taking the boys on a hike and enjoying some of the Fall colors. The drive took about 1 1/2-2 hours, and we got to see some beautiful colors on the trees. Hudson was too busy playing with two of his dinosaurs, and Hayes was sleeping to even notice the trees :-) Once we got to the beginning of the trail, we decided to go ahead and eat our packed lunch. Hudson was able to walk most of the trail. We carried him when the trail got a bit steep. All & all the trail was really easy and we had a blast. Hudson loves being outside and found a rock or two or hundred to throw..ha!! Josh & I were talking on our drive that we hope the boys want to do things like this as they get older. I am sure they will. They both did so wonderful on the hike that I think we have 2 outdoorsmen on our hands.

Hudson enjoying some turkey!!
Hayes taking his bottle.

You got to love a man with a baby carrier. BTW, Hayes DOES have pants on. They are just really tight..ha ha!!
