Family Hike to The Glory Hole

Josh, the boys, and myself took a hike today to The Glory Hole. It is in the town of Fallsville, AR (near Pettigrew). The Glory Hole is described as a hole that has been drilled by a creek through the roof of an overhanging bluff (the hike is 2 miles roundtrip). There wasn't much water coming through it but it was neat to see, and Hudson got to throw rocks in the shallow pool of water below. Josh & I talked about taking the boys on a hike and enjoying some of the Fall colors. The drive took about 1 1/2-2 hours, and we got to see some beautiful colors on the trees. Hudson was too busy playing with two of his dinosaurs, and Hayes was sleeping to even notice the trees :-) Once we got to the beginning of the trail, we decided to go ahead and eat our packed lunch. Hudson was able to walk most of the trail. We carried him when the trail got a bit steep. All & all the trail was really easy and we had a blast. Hudson loves being outside and found a rock or two or hundred to throw..ha!! Josh & I were talking on our drive that we hope the boys want to do things like this as they get older. I am sure they will. They both did so wonderful on the hike that I think we have 2 outdoorsmen on our hands.

Hudson enjoying some turkey!!
Hayes taking his bottle.

You got to love a man with a baby carrier. BTW, Hayes DOES have pants on. They are just really tight..ha ha!!

Hayes & Mommy

My Mom sent this photo to me today from a few weekends ago. I just love how Hayes & I's faces are smooshed together!! I just love this little guy.

School Halloween Party

Today Hudson had a Halloween Party at school. He goes to one school on Thurs. and another one on Tues./Fri. He loves his pirate costume :-) This boy was ready for candy!! I will admit that near the end of the party he had a meltdown (time for a nap). We still had fun but too much partying can wear a kid out :)

CUTE

Hayes decided to show up in his cow costume!!

The workers at the church gave the kids candy. They walked around trick-or-treating!!

Mommy loves her pirate and cow.

Some of his classmates.

Excited for candy!!

Pumpkin Painting

Yesterday, the boys and I went outside to paint a couple of pumpkins. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to enjoy it. Hudson is so task oriented when he is working on something (just like his Daddy)!! He thought Hayes needed help, so he painted his, too. I think he did a great job.

Saying, "Cheese"

**I had to throw these next 2 pictures of Hayes in from yesterday. They aren't of him painting pumpkins but he is just too cute!!

Weekend Fun :-)

This weekend Nana, Pa, & Kolton came to visit us. They got here on Friday evening around dinner time. We got pizza, so Hudson was double excited!! We love it when they come. Hudson was so excited when I told him that they were almost to our house. He wanted his shoes on and stood by the door. We had to divert his attention till they got to the house. When they got here, he ran outside to give hugs & kisses. Hayes was asleep in his room, of course :-) That boy loves to sleep (not complaining)..ha!!

Uncle Kolton & Hayes (chunky monkey)

Saturday we all went to Tanyard Creek in Bella Vista. Hudson loves to throw rocks in the water & Hayes just enjoys chillin' out in the baby bjorn carrier!!
