4 Months {Hayes}

Oh boy, I can't tell you how much I love this little guy. I love both of my boys with my whole heart. I still can't believe Hayes is 4 months old today. He has such a sweet personality and loves his family SO much. He loves to watch Hudson play. He loves, loves, loves for anyone to talk to him. He will get the biggest grin when someone shows him attention, and he isn't starved of it at all. I am so proud to take him places because he is just the happiest & friendliest little thing. He just melts my heart every day. Look at that smile....who wouldn't love him :-) Oh, last time we weighed him he was at 19 lbs. I just love all those rolls!!

Fun facts about you.....

You rolled over yesterday (11-30-2011). I was in the kitchen while you were playing on your playmat in the living room. I looked in on you, and you were on your belly. Daddy got home so we got you back on your playmat. We noticed you were grabbing the ring from the top and pulling up on it :-) You are so strong.

Sleep: You take a few naps during the day. You just LOVE to sleep which I am happy with. You really don't have a schedule with your naps set in stone yet but we are happy with how you sleep. You are sleeping through the night pretty much. You always wake up in a happy mood. I will hear you talking & cooing in your bed through the monitor.

Diapers: You are still in a size 3 but could move up to a 4 at any time. You are growing way too fast.

Feeding: You are completely on the bottle now. You transitioned from nursing to a bottle wonderfully. You are drinking the Gerber formula and really like it. You usually take about 6 oz each time (eat about 5 bottles a day).

Clothing: You are in 9 month clothes right now but like your diapers, I'm sure you will be moving up to 12 month clothes in no time :-)

Toys: You still love your exersaucer & playmat. You love to watch Hudson play and everything going on around you.

My 2 Handsome Boys

I just love both my boys so much. I think they love me, too (ha)!! Hudson still loves to kiss on Mommy, and Hayes just smiles and laughs at me. I just love how they show their love & affection to those they love (that's using the word "love" a bunch).

Showing off the green dinosaur!! Hudson LOVES his dinosaurs.

Love this boy!!

Leaf Collection

Last Thursday at school, Hudson was given a paper bag to collect leaves in. His assignment was to find leaves for his paper bag & bring them to school the following week. The plan is that they are going to use the leaves for various projects.

So, while Hayes was napping, Hudson & I took a quick trip outside to look for leaves (he has been coughing the last few days so we didn't waste any time). I just love this first picture because his outfit is so cute & funny. He doesn't care if he is "stylish" but I think he looks good!! We went in our front & back yards. We also walked down our little street to some of our neighbors' yards. I like these little classroom assignments. Now in about 13 years when he has a major science or math project, then we will get Daddy's help.

Rice Cereal--YUM

Tonight was Hayes' first attempt at eating rice cereal. He didn't really know what to think about it. He took a few bites and most of it came right back out :-) I ended up mixing a bottle up and put the remaining cereal/formula in the bottle. He ate that up. I think he did really good being it was his first attempt at eating with a spoon. I love all the "firsts" we get to experience. I just hope he loves to eat as much as Hudson.

3 Months {Hayes}

I can't believe you are already 3 months old. These past 3 months have flown by. We love your sweet smile & laugh. This month you have gotten so much more observant with your surroundings. You know Mommy's voice, and you love to watch your brother play. You LOVE to be talked to. You have the chubbiest legs, and we love that about you. I can already tell that you have a sweet personality. Here are some fun facts about you:

Sleep: You still like to take several naps a day. We aren't complaining :-) You get up 1 time/night to eat and then go back to bed. At times you are a restless sleeper.

Diapers: Size 2 (after you finish this last pack you are moving to a Size 3). Size 2's are getting too tight

Feeding: You are nursing 1/2 the time and taking formula the other 1/2. We leave for vacation in about a month, so I am working on moving you to formula full-time.

Clothing: You are most comfortable in 6 month clothes. According to some clothing labels you could be in 9 month clothes.

Toys: You have really enjoyed the exersaucer & playmat. You love to stand up on your feet (with Mommy's help :-)

We LOVE you Hayes so much and can't wait to see what you do next month.

Happy Halloween!!

Yesterday was Halloween and we had so much fun with the boys. Hudson was a pirate and Hayes a cow. They were the cutest pirate and cow I have ever seen!! We trick-or-treated mainly in our neighborhood. Hudson was really into it this year which was so fun. Before the night was over he had 5-7 suckers. Suckers were by far his favorite. He would say, "trick-or-treat," get the candy, and then go into people's homes. We had to tell him it wasn't ok to go into homes without permission. People got a kick out of it :-) Hayes had a good 1st Halloween by chillin' out watching brother. After trick-or-treating, we went over to my sister's house and celebrated with her, Josh S., Collin, Carter, Me-Ma, Pa-Pa, & Mimi!!We had fun eating some yummy treats my sis made and drinking spiced tea!! We had fun watching all the boys together!!

Hudson found a pirate girl. She was really cute, too.

Hudson & our neighbor, Kevin. Their family has always been so sweet to Hudson.

My parents, Me-Ma & Pa-Pa, wore these masks to suprise the boys. I was a little freaked out!! You got to love my parents for getting into the spirit of dressing up :-) All the boys looked so cute (Hudson-Pirate, Collin-Anakin Skywalker, Carter-Spiderman, & Hayes-Cow)

Mimi (Josh S.'s Mom) We love her!! She was getting some Hayes snuggle time.

Tired after a busy night!! Look at those lips!!

My Mom wanted to get Hayes a little something, so we decided to get him a new playmat. He loves it. I can leave him on it, and he will just play & play & play!!

Family Hike to The Glory Hole

Josh, the boys, and myself took a hike today to The Glory Hole. It is in the town of Fallsville, AR (near Pettigrew). The Glory Hole is described as a hole that has been drilled by a creek through the roof of an overhanging bluff (the hike is 2 miles roundtrip). There wasn't much water coming through it but it was neat to see, and Hudson got to throw rocks in the shallow pool of water below. Josh & I talked about taking the boys on a hike and enjoying some of the Fall colors. The drive took about 1 1/2-2 hours, and we got to see some beautiful colors on the trees. Hudson was too busy playing with two of his dinosaurs, and Hayes was sleeping to even notice the trees :-) Once we got to the beginning of the trail, we decided to go ahead and eat our packed lunch. Hudson was able to walk most of the trail. We carried him when the trail got a bit steep. All & all the trail was really easy and we had a blast. Hudson loves being outside and found a rock or two or hundred to throw..ha!! Josh & I were talking on our drive that we hope the boys want to do things like this as they get older. I am sure they will. They both did so wonderful on the hike that I think we have 2 outdoorsmen on our hands.

Hudson enjoying some turkey!!

You got to love a man with a baby carrier. BTW, Hayes DOES have pants on. They are just really tight..ha ha!!
